Concerts, concerts, concerts!
May is concert season in my world. Here are pictures from concerts we have attended in the past week-and-a-half.
Choirboys Spring Concert — May 3rd
(The first two pictures are from the rarely seen warm-ups, the others are from the concert)
High School Concert Choir/Symphonic Band Concert — May 5th
Grant is a first tenor in the choir and plays the flute in the band — a brave choice of instrument for a guy, but he is good at it!
Chorale Concert(s) May 9th & 10th:
(I am 4th in from the left in the second row, not that you can recognize anyone in this photo!)
Ninth Grade Band Concert — May 12th — Mark plays the oboe (I also played oboe when I was in high school).

What a great bunch of pictures! Hey, did you know I play flute, too? Tell Grant he’s one cool dude! Mark is a cool dude for playing such a difficult instrument.
I heard Isaac is going to camp! That is great news! It sounds like his group of friends will be rooming together in the same cabin. Won’t that be fun.
Oboe is beautiful, and hard to play! And the flute player can always point to James Galway, huh? I was the opposite, the girl playing trumpet. Which is a lot more common now. I still play. Hurrah for music.
Wonderful pics! You are all talented! I know how to play keyboards and guitar.
Great pictures! How nice that your boys sing and play instruments.
I love how the Choirboys are dressed. So bright and colorful! I’m tired of the waiter look. My son has that tux shirt and bow tie, too. I like when they wear their casual uniform which for us is a red polo and jeans.
Ok – who is older Mark or Grant?
Good for Grant and the bold choice to play flute. If that is what he enjoys and is good at it, why not!?!
Is your chorale a community group or a church group?
It sure is a busy month for you!
I miss going to all those concerts! (Although I do remember how rushed it could get this time of year.) You have a lot to cheer about. Such a talented family! Oh, the sweetly earnest faces of the little ones could almost bring tears to the eyes; so cute!
what awesome family photos over the last few posts. thanks for sharing yourself and what is important to you. hugs to you for being real!
