Strawberry Picking time!
I don’t have much time for a lengthy post today so a few pictures will have to do it. From my recent strawberry-picking outing.
And unrelated to strawberries, but still colorful and lovely:
(For those wondering what I will do with all the strawberries — right now they are all in my freezer — minus the ones we ate fresh, of course! Eventually they will be used for freezer jam, strawberry shortcake & ice cream topping, smoothies and slushes. Mmmmmmmmmmm!)

Beautiful pics! Are you busy making jam?
I don’t get to do that over here.
mmm yumm whatcha gonna do with all those?
Oh yum….YUM!!!!!!!
@MooncatBlue - @eneventure - I edited the post to include my plans for using up all those strawberries. We actually ate an amazing amount of them fresh — they were just so yummy good! I recall one evening this week where my whole meal consisted of strawberries!
I am so jealous! lol We used to grow strawberries and red raspberries when I was growing up. My grandma had acres of them, too! We had neighboring farms. A full meal of nothing but strawberries?! Yum! We often had a full meal of nothing but fresh corn on the cob (which we also grew). Grandma sold most of her strawberries to local grocers.
I love strawberries! When I was young I ate them regualarly as they contain Vitamin K which is a natural blood coagulant. Unfortunately, I have developed a deadly allergy to them and I can’t even eat so much as bite from one now. Do me a favor, pull one out of your freezer, say this one is for Michael and eat it with great relish!
Beautiful pictures as always!
Michael
@ETCACTOR - I’ll dedicate my next whole bowl of strawberries to you! How sad that you can’t eat them anymore! I know that many people have allergies to strawberries, I’m just so glad I am not one of them!
Yummm!!!!!
Those look deleeeuscious! : )
I guess I didn’t know that you can just freeze them whole, even before you make freezer jam. Good to know!
Hmmmmm, yummy!
Yum yum for all those strawberries!
